So it has been quite a while since I've written in here... sorry to the many readers I have. But the weather in Alicante has been beautiful recently. I've basically spent all the free time that I have on the beach, however, it is still too cold to go in the water. I went to a Hercules CF game on Saturday with a group of people from my program. Hercules is the professional soccer team here in Alicante. They got relegated last season to the Segundo Division of the Spanish League but it was still pretty cool to go to a professional game in Spain. The tickets were 12 euros for the worst seats, but they were still very good seats. You could see everything perfectly from where I was sitting, which I was surprising. Unfortunately, even though I enjoy watching soccer games, this game seemed to drag on and ended up being 2-0. Hercules lost to the Villareal B team.
I also started up my actual classes this week. I have to take a spanish class Monday through Friday, and then a history class on Tuesday, Thursday and a religion class Monday, Wednesday. It was only the first day of classes today so I can't really comment on how I think they are going to be. But I can say that every single teacher that I have loves to pick on me. My spanish teacher is constantly picking on me, and my religion teacher today did most of class and it was only the first day. Luckily I can handle the abuse, but still.. I don't know what it is about me. Anyways, everything in Alicante is going smoothly thus far. This weekend a group of us are taking a trip to a town called Murcia. I know absolutely nothing about it but its a really cheap train ride away and is supposed to be really nice.
I have some pictures of some random places around the city and of the soccer game, however, I will upload them on here once I have a few more pictures.
